AFCC Past Events

Our goals for AFCC are not only to raise funds to assist the children and their parents on the difficult road to recovery, but to also provide opportunities for learning, comradeship , exercise and just plain good fun. We organize boating trips, visits to the zoo, chocolate making, birthday and Christmas parties, pool parties, yoga, crafts, bingo and many other activities.

We rented a boat to take the children & their parents to see the whales, dolphins and turtles.

We gave them an opportunity to swim and play in the ocean and they all did.

We had an unforgettable evening at our second annual Concert for a Cause with the Three Tenors Vallarta and special guest Helene Bienvenue from Quebec.

There was also a performance by the Orchestra of Rome as well as the children from AFCC at the poolside at the Grand Venetian. The music and the venue were all amazing.

The sponsors organize outings for the children and their parents to enjoy some activities that priviledged societies take for granted.

Puerto Magico and Cacao Magico, with the help of a few Sponsors put on a wonderful celebration for 3 Kings Day for the families on January 6th. There were gifts, food and fun entertainment for everyone.

Sponsors and volunteers arrange pick up and delivery of vegetables and other nutritious food for the children. It is brought to one central area and the families get together for the distribution.

The Children grow out of their shoes every six months so we make sure that they always have a pair of runners and an everyday pair that fits.

Everyone that donated $ 100 or more was entered in a draw for 1 week at an exclusive 2 bedroom , mountainside resort in Whistler Mountain, B.C. Draw was held on February 24, 2025, and the winner was:
